Joe Michaud

Joe is a 2009 graduate of Foran High School and a 2013 graduate of Bryant University. During his time at Bryant, Joe amassed an 18-9 record with a 3.53 career ERA and 145 strikeouts in 163 innings pitched. Joe’s 2013 Bryant squad compiled a record of 45-18-1 en route to a 2013 Northeast Conference Baseball Tournament Championship and an appearance in the Manhattan, KS regional where they upset #18 Arkansas in the first round game.

Following his Bryant career, Joe was drafted in the 33rd round (1,001st overall) of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft by the Oakland Athletics. He spent time with the Arizona A’s of Arizona Rookie League, the Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York Penn League, and the Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League. He compiled a cumulative record of 5-5 with a 4.76 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 84.1 innings against only 19 walks.

Upon wrapping up his professional career, Joe joined the college ranks as a pitching coach at Bates College (DIII, NESCAC) in 2016 and Shippensburg University (DII, PSAC) in 2017-2018. During both of Michaud’s years at Shippensburg, the team found their way to the PSAC Tournament, while also making an Atlantic Regional appearance in 2017. Michaud has also coached during the summer months when he was selected to be the pitching coach of the Vermont Mountaineers of the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Gabe Mosser, a 2018 graduate of Shippensburg, was drafted in the 27th round of the 2018 MLB Amateur Draft by the San Diego Padres. He has already been promoted twice in his first two years with the organization. Michael Hope, a 2019 graduate of Shippensburg, enjoyed outstanding success with the Fargo Moorehead Red Hawks of the American Association after being signed as a free agent following his collegiate career.
